Lawrence Sherman, FACEHP, FRSM, CHCP - President

  •  Lawrence Sherman FACEHP, FRSM, CHCP, is President, Meducate Global, LLC, a Virginia, USA-based collaborative organization focusing on improving the knowledge, skills, and performance of educators of healthcare professionals around the world.  Lawrence also works with the Association for Medical Education in Europe  https://amee.org/home  in International Development.  Lawrence is teaching faculty for Medutopia  https://www.mymedutopia.com/ an innovative global medical education organization.   His expertise in faculty development, digital education/e-learning, and communications skills are helping health professions educators adapt to the current environment. He was formerly Senior Vice President, Strategic Education at AGILE (Academy for Global Interprofessional Learning and Education), a Swiss-based global provider of interprofessional continuing education (IPCE).  Lawrence has been involved in developing and delivering healthcare education on six continents worldwide.
    Lawrence is active in the healthcare education profession globally, with key involvement and participation in organizations, societies, and academic institutions globally. Some of the organizations and roles include:

  • Asia Pacific Medical Education Conference
  • Association for Medical Education in Europe
  • European CME Forum

Lawrence is the Social Media Editor for the Journal for Continuing Education in the Health Professions, and is a on the Editorial Board and a Reviewer for the following journals:

  • Journal of European CME
  • The Asia Pacific Scholar 

He is a Reviewer for Medical Teacher, and also served a Guest Editor for the Continuing Professional Development Special Edition in September, 2018.

Lawrence has also been an Educator in Emergency Medicine for the Emergency Medical Institute and Center for Learning and Innovation of the Northwell Health System in Long Island, New York, and has lectured in the Healthcare Communications program at the Center for Communicating Science at Stony Brook University, in a program started by Alan Alda, also in New York.
Lawrence has also performed stand-up comedy at venues around the world, including at Carnegie Hall in New York His expertise in faculty development, digital education/e-learning, and communications skills are helping health professions educators adapt to the current environment.
